A Chechen account on X reported that Rustam Azhiev, otherwise known as Abd Al-Hakim Al-Shishani, took part in a question-and-answer session on Telegram. Al-Shishani previously led Ajnad Al-Qawqaz, a predominantly Chechen Salafi-jihad group, which fought in the Syrian Civil War. In November 2022, Al-Shishani left Syria for Ukraine, where he has since fought against Russian forces.
