Yemen's Ansar Allah Movement (Houthis) Releases Photos And Video Documenting Downing Of American MQ-9 Drone In Marib Province

On April 1, 2025, the military media office of Iran-backed Yemen's Ansar Allah Movement (Houthis) released a photoset and footage documenting the wreckage of the U.S. MQ-9 drone that was shot down by a locally made surface-to-air missile in the airspace of Marib governorate on March 31, 2025.

Images showed the wreckage of the drone on fire. The Houthis announced earlier that air defenses were able to shoot down an American MQ-9 aircraft in Marib governorate, claiming that the drone was the 16th to be shot down so far.
